The CROYA Foundation (a 501c3) was formed in 2004 to assist CROYA in building the capacity to raise private dollars for the Student Union. Research that began in 1998, and included comprehensive materials as far back as the early 80’s, echoed the need for more programming space for the then current programs, and a greater need of a safe place for teens to gather after school and on the weekend evenings. Specifically, the original Foundation Board worked to build an addition of 5,500 square feet onto the original CROYA facility.
Today, the Foundation is committed to assisting CROYA in raising greatly needed programming funds. With the opening of the Student Union in November of 2007, CROYA strategically added several new programs which are serving the needs of an even greater population of local teens. The facility was designed with growth in mind, and over the next several years, has the capacity to add hundreds of new opportunities for and with our young adults.
